Update Alert: Over 12,000 Monitoring Visits by ZATCA in November

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) conducted over 12,000 monitory inspection visits in Nov on markets and shops across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In cooperation with the National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program (Tasattur), the authority carried out the visits by the supervisory and inspection team. These visits included various commercial sectors, most prominently the retail, food, and education sector.

Objective:

  1. Improve compliance with the provisions of tax regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. Avoid commercial transaction violations.
  3. Continue supervision and guidance visits in different activities and fields to markets and shops.

Further, the authority has urged everyone to report tax violations, through the authority’s website or application. An incentive worth 2.5% of the violation value and penalties, up to a maximum of SAR one million or a minimum of SAR 1,000 will be extended upon reporting such violations.
